Empowering Individuals

Person-Centered

Employment Links provides services that are Person-Centered. This means we place emphasis on transforming the options available to an individual, rather than on “fixing” or changing the individual. It is a set of approaches designed to assist persons in planning for their life, and the providing support towards acheiving their goals. \Employment Links aims to discover and act on what is important to the individual, ensuring that persons with disabilities have choices in their daily lives.

Supported Employment Services

Our flexible programming offers a variety of services that allows for a great deal of creativity in designing individual person centered plans. The length and content of each program depends on the needs and goals of each person. Periodic evaluations are made to determine the proper progression to the next phase. Employment Links staff will evaluate the current level of independence and assist in providing opportunities for growth, while developing and exercising age-appropriate skills, decision making, and daily living choices at home, and in the community.

Employment Exploration Services

Community-based services that introduce people with disabilities to employment options and allow them to explore their options through work experiences. This service helps people to make an informed choice about working in competitive, integrated employment.

Employment Development Services

Individualized services that help people find competitive, integrated employment or attain self-employment.

Employment Support Services

Individualized services and supports that help people to maintain community employment in an individual or group arrangement.

Structured Day

Structured days and community integration allow for individuals to learn how to appropriately utilize their local community resources and activities.

Independent Living Skills

Employment Links staff will evaluate the current level of independence and assist in providing opportunities for growth, while developing and exercising age-appropriate skills, decision making, and daily living choices at home, and in the community.

Professional Development Groups

Employment Links offers a variety of rotating topics, each covering a multitude of professional development outcomes, running in 8-12 week sessions. Our small groups are specifically formatted to integrate individuals into the workforce and community, while continuously helping them to grow personally and professionally.


Professional Development Courses

Employment Links offers a variety of rotating topics, each covering a multitude of professional development goals, running in 8-12 week sessions. Our small groups are specifically formatted to integrate our clients into the workforce and community, while continuously helping them to grow personally and professionally. Each 8-12 week curriculum is planned to help our clients engage in group activities while learning, socializing and meeting new people!

Finance and Budgeting

This group offers interactive activities related to budgeting and finance. Individuals will be provided with information regarding income, wage reporting, expenses, etc. Additionally we will stress the the importance of needs versus wants and saving for a rainy day!

Nutrition and Health

Individuals will be working together in this group to learn all about good nutrition and healthy meal options. There will be an opportunity to create meals from scratch, as well as come up with weekly menu’s that are realistic and fun!

Stress Management

This group provides individuals with opportunities to learn and practice techniques for managing stress. Some of the techniques include; meditation, deep breathing, mindfulness, conflict resolution, finding the perfect hobby for you and much more! Come on down and RELAX!

Fitness and Stamina

Our instructors will be helping individuals to increase stamina and build endurance in a fun and interactive way. Clients will be working at their own pace, on their own level, with nonjudgmental peers to encourage them along the way

Interpersonal Communication

Holding an appropriate conversation has proven to be a barrier for some individuals. This group will help individuals to effectively communicate with others, as well as learning how to perceive verbal and nonverbal cues from individuals within their environment.

Public Transportaion

Employment Links staff assists individuals in obtaining the skills needed to access public transportation options, as well as assisting individuals in securing their driving permit.
